The Center for Health Promotion’s mission is to support Ithaca College students in developing the skills and identifying the resources necessary for making healthy lifestyle choices. The Center utilizes evidence-based tools and personalized information to empower students to make their own decisions for optimizing their well-being.
CHP provides core representation on several integrated campus-wide committees including the Mental Health Flock (formerly the JED Campus Committee) and the Alcohol and Other Drugs Team (AOD). Signature services coordinated through the Center include:
- BASICS
- National College Health Assessment (NCHA)
- Walter’s Whaleness Express (wellness supply order form)
- Wellness at IC outreach, programs and communications
- Wysa (including brand ambassador program)
Support on Giving Day directly enhances the Center’s ability to expand its reach and deepen its impact. Donor contributions help fund peer educator training, interactive workshops, and awareness campaigns that resonate with today’s students. These funds also allow the Center to adapt to emerging health trends, introduce innovative programming, and ensure that critical resources remain accessible to all students. By giving to the Center for Health Promotion, you are investing in a healthier campus community — one where every student is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and support to care for themselves and one another.
