At the Roy H. Park School of Communications, you won’t just study media - you’ll create it. Our undergraduate programs combine academic excellence, hands-on learning, and real-world experience. With access to state-of-the-art facilities and professional-grade equipment, Park students work alongside expert faculty and industry-connected alumni to develop the skills and portfolios that prepare them for success in today’s media industries.

IC Annual Fund for Communications

A gift to the IC Annual Fund for Communications allows the school to invest in upgrading technology and facilities as well as bringing in guest speakers from every media industry. Here are some examples of how your gifts to the IC Annual Fund for Communications supports students and faculty across many fields:

  • In 2025 we installed a new radio transmitter. Additional funding would allow us to upgrade to HD which will give us one primary channel for WIB and 3 additional channels we can use for VIC and any other content.
  • Professor Mark Addona's Brand Design Lab worked with Dean Falkner on an enhancement project to create awareness around Park spirit and pride using branding and design throughout the building. Funds are bringing their vision to life. Additional funding would allow for installations and large-scale designs to be added to hallways.
  • Funds were used to bring Steven Grayhm to campus, writer/director/actor/producer of the award-winning feature film, "Sheepdog" for a screening and moderated Q&A with students.

Park School SOS Fund

A gift to the Ithaca College Park School of Communications Special Opportunities for Students provides immediate, high-impact financial assistance for students to participate in unique, career-advancing opportunities. These include conferences, film festivals, and industry events. Below are just a few examples of how your donations support students through the Park School SOS Fund:

  • The SXSW Innovation Conference allowed our students to attend events focused on branding, marketing, advertising, tech, and the creator economy. They were able to network with and hear from top professionals in advertising about new trends and the new era of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) - preparing them for life after graduation.
  • The "Super Six" represented the Park School at Super Bowl LIX's Radio Row in Santa Clara, CA to interview athletes and media professionals, network, and create content for Ithaca College's broadcast stations, WICB and ICTV. Ithaca College is one of 10 schools invited to participate out of the 100 total media outlets.
  • Sending a student to the Sundance Film Festival as an accredited press journalist meant they could have a front row seat for all that is new and exciting in the world of cinema. Our student representative was able to attend premieres and interview celebrities on the red carpet - valuable experience and credibility for future work endeavors.
  • Students focusing on graphic design and branding were able to attend the Canva Create Conference to sharpen their skills at interactive design labs, motivational discussions, and walk away with ideas they could immediately apply to current projects.
