Office of Religious and Spiritual Life

At the heart of Ithaca College, Muller Chapel is a welcoming space for reflection, connection, and community. Much more than simply a building, the Chapel is the embodiment of the College’s commitment to community, belonging and holistic student development. In 2026, we proudly celebrate the Chapel’s 50th anniversary, marking five decades of creating space for students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors to explore meaning, purpose, and the human experience. Through the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, Muller Chapel continues to serve as a vibrant hub where individuals of all religious, spiritual, and secular worldviews can come together in dialogue, learning, and action.

Rooted in a mission to foster interfaith understanding and expand religious literacy, the Chapel supports a dynamic network of student groups and campus partners. Each week, more than 25 religious and spiritual services and observances take place, offering opportunities for worship, reflection, and community building. Beyond these gatherings, the Chapel hosts events and initiatives that encourage engagement across difference—empowering students to make meaning of their experiences and to contribute positively to the Ithaca community and the wider world.

Your support on Giving Day helps sustain and grow this vital work. A generous donation directly contributes to interfaith initiatives, student-led programming, and the continuation of diverse observances that nurture belonging and connection on campus. As we honor 50 years of Muller Chapel, your gift ensures that this sacred and inclusive space will continue to thrive for generations to come.
