Mathematics Undergraduate Research Endowment
The Ithaca College Mathematics Research Endowment, generously initiated by an anonymous donor, supports student experiential learning in mathematics with a priority given to undergraduate research activities. In particular, this fund supports our efforts to bring students to math conferences to present their research from our research course, summer research experiences, and independent studies.

Last spring, professors Osman Yürekli, Peter Maceli, Dave Brown, and Ted Galanthay accompanied Kian Broderick, Brie Bownas, Sarah Wrzos, and Earth Sonrod to the Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference. The first three students presented their research, advised by Professors Osman Yürekli and Peter Maceli. Topics included the properties and patterns of digital roots, properties of recursive sequences, and the computational construction of magic squares.

Please make a gift today to help us grow this endowment to continue to provide opportunities like these.
